NOTE: This section will gradually move over to Nerva Beacon – here, to make it easier to maintain. If you have information please use the forum there.
This section lists some of the more scrappy information on old releases. Sometimes groups only ever exist as a whisper. Others only ever released a trailer. The sites may go down, people move on. If I’m very unsure about a what a group did or the status of their productions, then it gets listed here. Hopefully some of you can shed a little light on them. Please comment below if you have any info or email me at botcherbys at googlemail dot com.
I’m also going to list the audios that I’d like to track down copies of (or whatever exists of them). If you have them, or had anything to do with the production then I’d be very grateful to hear from you. With the right permissions they could later be hosted for all to enjoy.

Hi
I came across this ebay item some time ago and have not been able to find any further information
Listed below was the discription given
CiNEFFIGY’S The Commission Augury 2 CD Set
Ultra Rare Fan CD with Mark Strickson & Sarah Sutton
Regards
Alan
VERY RARE fan produced audio drama starring Turlough and Nyssa from Doctor Who!
Thanks for mentioning it. I too can’t find anything solid.
However, there is a note of Sutton playing ‘Roma Styles’ in ‘Augury: The Commission’ (1999) on this site. http://www.employees.org/~mrogers/CAA/Nyssa/Nyssa/biographycv.html
Also there is mention of her playing the same character in a CD sold with the Colin Baker pilot Souls Ark. http://roswell.fortunecity.com/angelic/96/cbnews.htm
Also dated 1999.
CINEFFIGY was a company selling promo photos of ex Doctor Who cast for conventions (I think). Ian Burgess has been mentioned in conjunction with them, and was also the source of the update on that webpage about Souls Ark.
Nothing about Strickson, but it could all be related. Lots of connections. I’ve put it above for now.
I’ll be taking over a web site for a Pete Trapani early next year. Augury was an audio drama made by Ian Burgess and Mark Strickson and a man who looks like a hippy in Weston super Mare Playhouse Theatre. The public paid for Burgess to use the upstairs of the theatre on several occasions. Burgess later did sell Layton’s Mission, because I was there ! He also sold it to Tenth Planet Limited in London, who shouldn’t really have stocked it. The US pilots are available soon and believe me, are superb compared to what Ian Burgess was flogging without permission. If it was me I’d have strung the beggar up, but I think there was a stress situation with Burgess at the time. The sad this for us is that it may have put off one of the performers who was Burgess’ business partner. I know that ’cause i got proof years back from a Hull address and there were some orders of prints which were cancelled or delayed. It sometimes gets called Orgy by mistake and is sometimes sold with a piece of incidental music by Pete Trapani called `Government Pussy’, which is actually the original theme music to Layton’s Mission, after the temporary one which Pete wrote as a song and which was used in some of the first pilots which hit the States and UK. Don’t let it put you off sci-fi audio in general though. IT’s a pity Burgess didn’t just do it by the book and maybe approach someone like Pete in the first place.
Ian Burgess was a guy who went around selling `copies’ of Peter Trapani’s Layton’s Mission series before it was finished. He had shop links in Brighton, and was offering them for sale from Lyndhurst Road in Western super Mair. Somerset. in the uk.
anyone know if they’r elegal? sound isn’t as good as the ones from X-ploding Gnomes productions released on test pilot in London. we’ve got proof that the last company is legit and registered a s abusiness but there’s no phone number to check this other company flogging them at the hotel in Bristol `Aztect’ with sarah sutton there on her signing for one of Mr.Burgess’ other less well produced works, which sound a bit `kack’ of the copy we’ve got.
Hi Botcherby.
I did a lot of info-collection on who fan audios for a while. Most of the info is scattered around my hard drive. As I find useful info I’ll pass it along if you’re interested.
For Best Fishes, the Doctor was played by Kara Dennison. I know that Marmots of Sin was a one-parter that ran 11:57. It was written by Kara Dennison and Kevin Hylie.
Cast:
The Doctor Kara Dennison
Betty Appleby
Betty Appleby played by Allison Quinn
Mrs. Appleby played by Michelle Sullivan
Karen Dennison and Tom Galling as “various marmots”
The High Marmot as himself
Produced by Kara Dennison
Let me know if this is the kind of information you’re interested in.
That’s much appreciated Bill. I’ll get in touch when I’ve got a free moment.
Hi
since posting original question about The Commission: Augury’
i have obtained a copy, however this has been produced by a company called “The Fantasi Factory” they give a web address for more details as http://www.allworldart.com which does not appear to connect.
The back cover note says the first two episodes on an exciting adventure/drama series
Was this all?
regards
Good that you’ve got to hear it. That must be a pretty rare disc.
I’ve seen that website via Internet Archive before (and one of it’s temporary mirrors docwho.co.uk). Neither have anymore info that can still be seen, and no mention of a series available. It seems likely that was all they released. Happy to be proved wrong though.
Also – is it directly related to DW? Do they reprise their roles or feature any known monsters or villains?
All World Art had a page for Ian Burgess in 2001.
It offered for sale a piece of music `Government Pussy’, an instrumental version of a song by Pete Trapani from years before, recorded for use in Layton’s Mission, a standalone sci-fi and quite surreal audio drama which Burgess began flogging copies of in a hotel at least in Bristol. So if All World Art are assisting Burgess again, please do pass on the detail to Trading Standards or get a reward from the following site so the whole proper set of audios from 2000/2001 can be heard properly without any nasty chopping or bitching from the `bigger boys’ at `upper middle class finishing off’, popular though they are.
Hello there. I’m Daniel Burnett. I was producer for Zindignite Productions- and joined with Peter Wicks to make Ultimate Reality. What info are you after? My e-mail is urproductions@gmail.com

The story is not directly related but does have the feel of a “The Daemons” style story, also it seems to remind me of a pilot paranormal detective style TV programme the never took off
I have listed the synopsis from the back cover of CD case
The Commission: Augury
The first two episodes
When Hayden (MARK STRICKSON) is removed from his own research project, he is visited by Roma Styles (SARAH SUTTON) a representative of a covert organisation known as The Commission. Styles soon convinces Hayden that his experience of investigating beyond the recognised laws will be vital to assist her and other agents investigating a worldwide conspiracy taking place. Strange reports from the small village of Middle Wallop soon lead Hayden and Styles into danger beyond their understanding or wildest imaginings.
Just who is the mysterious woman in the village square?
Who or what is Old Divinity?
And why are the taboo rituals of the middle ages still being performed….
Just came accross your site, bit late (16 months). Cineffigy has changed name, but is still contactable at original address. As to the availablity of THE COMMISSION try previous course of action. LAYTON’S MISSION I have no idea about, except it was never on offer from Lyndhurst Rd, in Weston-s-mare, as that is my address, and my only affiliation was the sponsership of conventions, and organise & run the BlueBox 4 Convention at the Aztec Hotel in Bristol.
It was on offer via Aztec Hotel in Bristol and the undercover market place in Weston-super-Mare, dear. It says so in Ian’s letter of 2002 which he signed and sent to Pete Trapani, and then forgot about before turning up on Pete’s patio at BS22 **B smoking a roll up.
Hi
Does anyone know whats happened to Dream Realm Enterprises
Apparently they had a problem with their server which led to the site going offline. They’ve said a new site is underway for 2011, and shows are still being written and recorded. Good news as I very much want to hear more of their DW series. (and sorry for the late response, the new blog post explains all)
Hi Botcherby,
The full first episode of my Doctor Who audio play “The Chattath Factor” is now online. It’s a full cast drama with sound effects and music, and runs for 20 minutes. Episode Two is currently in post-production.
You can download Episode One from here: http://www.westlakefilms.co.uk/chattath.html
Contact Fine Line producer Gareth Preston at gazhack@ntlworld.com if you want to know the history of his Doctor Who plays and his original series Agents of Psyence.
Will.

Hi there to all, the contents present at this web site are truly remarkable for people knowledge, well,
keep up the nice work fellows.
Hi, Neat post. There is a problem along with your website in internet explorer, would check this?
IE still is the marketplace leader and a
large element of other people will leave out your great writing due to this problem.
